I have watched a fat dude with a beard turn a ping pong ball into an orange using nothing but a solo cup and a quick wit. I do not trust, I only verify.
How?
cups and balls is a common magic trick, which is being referenced here. You slip the thing into the cup as its set down. Classic slight of hand routine.
