I get it but at the same time I do not. It is a reference to a movie or something?
Many pieces of film/TV have scenes where a guy has been mortally wounded doing something for the greater good and then bleeds out in a scene like this. It's like a melancholic righteous death

Blade Runner 2049 reference maybe?
Maybe don't run around with blades if you don't want to cut yourself and bleed out.
But if you do gotta bleed out it might as well do it on fresh snow in an eerily quiet and peaceful setting, so as the steam rises from your blood your essence gently fades away
It’s at 2049 already? Damn I’ve missed 2048 Blade Runner movies.
It was a trope long before that movie though.
