I can't bloody shift it! I had the worst of it a couple of weekends ago and every time I feel better, the next day I feel terrible again. A blocked nose is meaning I get fuck all sleep and I keep feeling extremely exhausted.

Next year I'm definitely getting the jab!

It's kind of both - I would be tired from the poor sleep, but also just a general lack of overall energy. I can have broken sleep in the past and still feel energetic in the day.

The flu is generally speaking borderline debilitating. High fever and muscle aches and cramps are the hallmark symptoms of flu. Granted, this strain seems to be more of a slow burner than others but me and my partner have both had flu in the past and have both had a respiratory virus, probably a cold, already this year that is definitely not the flu.

That's not true. You can have the flu and have very mild symptoms. I had a high fever the other weekend and I was basically crashed out in bed for the weekend, and while the fever went away, everything else has remained. It seems like this strain seems to be hanging around on people for a lot longer.

Fair enough, it seemed to suggest in your post originally that a blocked nose was your only symptom.
