Iirc, yeah basically. Marcille aged faster than other elves and slower than the other races of humans, so she basically never had friends growing up. That's her entire motivation for going into the dungeon, she wants to find a way to equalize the race's lifespans so that no one has to go through what she's gone through anymore

Well yeah but the text mentions elves, not half elves. I think that the pic is only tangentially related and just because they confused Marcille's ears as elf ears.
