Why does dansup have a strong fan base? (lemmy.ml)

I just feel like dansup has done something important but I don't know what it is.

I'm just less than impressed with loops and a get push back for voicing and criticism regarding loops

It seems so because he is blocking a lot of users that critisize his work

He blocked me on mastodon but that's because I called him out to other I assume big foss developers. But it seems like he plays well with bigger names of fediverse
