First of all if you're a girl, make sure you trust your male friend. (Unless genders are not an issue here). Secondly, like others in the comments said, pace yourself, keep hydrated, stick to low alcohol drinks like beer, don't turn it into a challenge or a show-off of how much you can drink or smoke. Thirdly avoid driving. And last but not least, have fun and hope you don't puke a lot. Cheers!
the name blackwitch makes me think it's a girl, but who knows- i'd definitely like to reiterate what you're saying there about trust- a significant number of men have absolutely no problem getting women too drunk to deny consent in the moment
Yup, it's a common thing that happens everywhere, even between friends, especially when they're young/immature and have not been taught how to behave and treat others with respect and civility.
