So this will be my first time getting drunk drunk, and my friend is a year older than me and has done it several times before. I could have him watch me, but there may be a chance that he'd be high/drunk too, so what are some things to watch out for and consider during my first time getting drunk if I'm able to go to his house?

Do it only in a safe environment. Eat a lot of pickles. Eat constantly. Don't try to push alcohol until you hit the limit. Just push it a bit further than usual. There's no need to blindly go for it all. Drink at least half a litre of water before allowing you to go to sleep.

If you need to vomit, just do it. It's better than trying to keep it in.

Eat a lot of pickles.

I have never seen or heard of that before, and I'm an almost 40 year old Dane. We have a pretty widespread drinking culture.

Snacks are nice while drinking, but most here go for crisps, nuts or similar.

If you have friends from the Slavic countries like poland, ask them. They will confirm ;) The belief is that the electrolytes help and the salt makes you drink more (hopefully water). However, studies don't really support this (though there aren't many).
