My cohort was filled with edgelords who identified with communism when they were young mostly as a function of pure youthful contrarian rebellion. These are kids who wore wool trench coats with hammer and sickle patches, hats with red stars — they even carried copies of The Manifesto. They’re mostly white straight cis married property owners with work from home bullshit jobs now.
