I've been really enjoying browsing Wikipedia and duckduckgo on Links2 lately which loads raw html rapidly with little overhead. It's also good for reading the Marxist Internet Archive. I'm looking to expand it's functionality more

The only way I could make it work was using the alternative frontend for my instance: old.feddit.org
There, log in was possible without issues. But I don't know if lemmy.ml has alternative frontends.
I had tried all CLI browsers, browsh, and Neon Modem Overdrive. (which seemed to work for people on other instances, but not on feddit.org . Edit: The issue I was having with it seems to be fixed now.)
I'm new to the fediverse. Will old.feddit.org work with the same login credentials?
you can just compile and connect to mlmym locally on your machine, it's a tiny go-based program with a webserver in it
It's a different UI for feddit.org, so it works with feddit.org accounts. The UI is mlmym. You should be able to self-host it, and use it with a Lemmy instance of your choice.
