Thomas Jefferson was both a slaver and a pedophile (and he enslaved his own kids too, just despicable behaviour but even more American than apple pie)! What I'm trying to say here is that the country was built on blood, amorality and degeneracy, it will take a lot more than this for it to change into something moral and prosocial if it ever does (best bet is they just go full Mad Max and kill each other and better people replace them, maybe the actual locals and mestizos?), and its the foundations that need to be changed too.
