Democrat Taylor Rehmet won a special election for the Texas state Senate on Saturday, flipping a reliably Republican district that President Donald Trump won by 17 points in 2024.

A progressive candidate just won in Fort Worth. Centrists were fulla shit when they said that progressives can’t win in red districts,

Ironically, Republicans won in 2024 in part running on the progressive platform: mainly a rhetorical focus on affordability.
