Considering that most of the people supporting ICE view everything through the most basic “us vs them” tribalism lens, Im curious to see how this shakes out.

Assuming a lot of pro-ICE people probably originally imagined the shooters as typical white good ol boy agents making a career of terrorizing brown people, what happens now? How does the white christofascist hierarchy assign placement to a hispanic ICE agent, which in their mind is surely virtually an oxymoron?

With Good’s killing, obviously they still support the ICE agent who killed a liberal, because liberal is obviously an outgroup of lesser people to them

With Pretti, a fairly traditional white good ol boy figure who cares for veterans and carries a firearm but also is protesting against ICE operations is killed by two brown ICE agents. The veneer of him being some kind of liberal domestic terrorist quickly falls apart, and now they have to rectify supporting ICE ops with the fact that now someone closer to their imagined in-group was killed by two officers they would otherise. They have to swallow the fact that they too could be shot dead if they were carrying in the street while protesting government actions. And these are people that hardly ever stop thinking of potentially rallying against the government if it doesnt do exactly what they want

I imagine in confronting that, some people on the right will start to be against ICE ops, and somehow the rest will perform mental gymnastics so impressive that they could earn olympic gold

I mean, not all Latinos are 'brown', it's as good as telling me someone's Jewish, like I couldn't exactly judge anything, beyond maybe religion and culture.

Besides, even supposing they are, fascists seems to be the ends-justify-the-means people, so they're not beyond using people, who they see as 'Untermensch' (lower people), as long as they repress immigrants and political opposition.

I mean, have you heard of the ethnicities who operated the trawniki or those colonized peoples who fought for the fascist side of the Spanish Civil War. Their race doesn't make excusable the Nazi fascist goals and the likes of their predominately Western European white leadership that ordered this.

Yeah, I agree on you with that. Lmao, they will cope.
