I'm genuinely curious about the ability of the Canadian military to open military bases in Greenland as part of NATO. If we're investing all of this new money into our military to protect the North, and we're allowed to build out capacity in Greenland, we should absolutely do it.
The ability to extend military operations to the other side of Baffin Bay / Labrador Sea would be huge. Obviously, we'd do that in coordination with NATO, but considering it's so close to us, we should really be highly involved there (if not leading the efforts).
Gotta keep Alert base safe from the Pituffik.
Canadian and European troops need to outnumber the American ones to properly protect Greenland.
We need thousands of European troops to help reinforce Canada’s porous border from maga lapdogs.
