I need to find an adapter for this stupid HD-DVD drive from 2008. Sorry, this is before my time.

That's probably a proprietary connector combining Sata and power, typical for removable drives in laptops

That would've been my guess. Other commenters seem less pessimistic though?

Even if you can find some kind of cable to plug this somewhere... drivers ?
