There’s zero chance this does anything. But it’s a nice reminder the Republicans are morons.
Wait, can he veto a bill that doesn't pass? Isn't that literally just an EO with extra steps?
Vetos can be overturned if 2/3 of each chamber votes to overturn it. So there is a way to overturn vetos, but I don't think those numbers are achievable right now.
If it passes then he can veto it.
There are no checks and balances in the US.
There's lots of checks happening. They're not balanced though.
