Good Mastodon instances for radical leftists? (lemmy.ml)

most of the instances I could find were filled with liberal centrists who call themselves leftist, and hate actual theory-reading commies.

something politically like lemmy.ml or even like lemmygrad would be perfect.

it also shouldn't be heavily defederated against

You should check out the instance itself, the deprogram crowd is pretty new to Lemmygrad, and mostly came after the subreddit ban. Grad has some great posts in other communities!

Don't have a matrix, unfortunately... does it have to be private? Lemmy has dm functions, but it's not private. I can make a Matrix account if necessary though! Just might take a bit.
