It’s this meme. Just a made up fantasy where other people having different preferences means they’re suddenly oppressed and unable to access what they want (and therefore justified in “fighting back”)
The army uniform is, to steal a phrase from a certain RPG reviewer, icing on an ass-shaped cake
The barista is doing praxis by inconveniencing a member of the amerikkkan ministry
I like that they still have a flag behind the counter though lol
Americans: Gommulism bad because no choice in treats!
Also Americans: Too many options for my treats? Literally 1984!
It’s funny how all their “sick burns” are
“you behave like I do but with role reversal! See how silly you look, only I can act that way! Now stop making me think and be a good little conformist like everyone else!”
what's the last good RTS?
there's a bunch of stuff that doesn't get made anymore and we lost things like Dragon Age: Origins interesting mechanics into MMO-style garbage because EA wanted console sales.
innovations in the business model from mobile game slot machines have been ruining regular games for a decade or more, etc.
Capital doesn’t ruin video games because of an excess of diversity though, which is the point
I really like Eugen Systems' RTS'. Steel Division II for WW2, Wargame: Red Dragon/WARNO for cold war, Act of Aggression for a more traditional base builder RTS in the vein of Command and Conquer.
I'd like to see somebody take on real modern warfare, where $200 drones can take out $20M tanks, in their style.
Cult of multiplayer balance would immediately declare lack of balance and spam game forums until devs would make every potential build equally boring.
I'm imagining the final state of game balance is the most doomer depiction of warfare imaginable - both sides have real people, but all of the shooting is done by drones of all kinds, making the game basically just a human suffering simulator.
