I won't comment on Israel, as I don't know who else is waiting in the wing. But in the US there is no one worse who could perform the role Trump is. He is a 'charismatic' figure head for his party and his supporters eat up everything he says. Vance doesn't have the charisma to match him and would lose even more support, threatening their power.A democrat figure could rise to power, but they are a less evil if only by being less overt.

But yes ultimately both need a revolution that empowers the people and IMO dissolves the state.
