I pledged at a frat in college and got dropped because I wasn't "making enough connections" with the 80+ dudes who I could remember maybe 20 of. Was encouraged to rush by my "friend" who ended up being the worst roommate OAT a few years after that. I suspect a much larger reason for me getting dropped was the multiple times they assured me it was "totally cool" that I was the one dude there who wasn't drinking and didn't succumb to their peer pressure for it. One of those situations where they "respect my decisions" but also offer me alcohol constantly
