This movement honestly sounds almost like the US Navy didn't relise using a war ship, in a war, means the other side shoots at it, and so it can be lost
To be fair, they haven't fought a country that could meaningfully strike back since WW2.
Kids these days think 'Nam was a movie plot line and not an actual meat grinder where we got our asses handed to us.
I always think of an anecdote I heard about a US general meeting an NV general after the war. The US general says, "You know, the US troops never lost a battle." The NV general, "Yes, but you lost the war."
