MODERATORS
Don’t worry buddy, many of us are already there.
Can’t get a passport to leave, can hardly afford my meds or food, so I’m sure suicide will come sooner rather than later and you’ll get the chance to crack your knuckles and sit smug in your chair feeling so good about how your fellow countrymen got their comeuppance for the axis of Epstein’s evil deeds. Shit, if the homelessness doesn’t get me, I’m sure you can count on ICE to sooner or later.
I personally didn’t want any of this, in fact I advocated hard against it and still do but yeah, fuck us all.
Neither did I.
But now we're here. Do you know why? Because its quite possible we disagree on why we're here. And it might be irrational but I can't help but feel like I want the people who are wrong about that question to suffer.
I'm quite bitter about stupid people dragging me into a radioactive trashfire. If I must experience dying in a fire, I'm hoping the moron who dragged me in with them dies more slowly via radiation sickness.
You're here because the dickheads in charge took you there. Short of full-on regicide theres nothing you personally can do about it. You feel guilty because your lives are relatively minimally impacted while on the other end of this war lives are destroyed, but you have no control here.
You're right to be angry, and its understandable to feel guilty when you lament your minor upheavals, but fuck it. What can you do?
