i don’t get how people can call the leadership of the trump administration monsters for happily presiding over the US bombing a school, but not call the soldiers who did such an act monsters themselves
Same honestly. Like I understand that the US and Israel are using AI to target Iranian civilian infrastructure or whatever, but it has to be a US soldier who fires the damn thing.
I'd say if you choose to make money loading the gun of a child murderer, you're a child murderer.
i think it's kind of internalized that the soldiers are just mindless drones following orders, which i kind of agree but in no way does it erase their crimes.
There are still a disturbing amount of people who separate Hitler and the rest of Nazi leadership from the poor German soldiers that were dragged into the war by fascism. Yeah. Because it was totally the politicians raping, murdering, and scorching the Earth on their way through Europe and Africa.
As Tomas Sankara put it "a soldier without ideological education is just a future criminal."
