https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/convoy-protest-emergencies-act-appeal-9.7046769

According to CBC they were removing blockades. I'm assuming much of the issues is just timing, and difficulty in determining whose blocking traffic vs whose commuting. There doesnt seem to be any sources I can find about police not doing their job to remove protestors, outside of fringe websites that are spreading conspiracy theories about the police being far right fascists.

Trudeaus defense was that he was worried that the protestors would turn violent, which seems like a convenient excuse that could be said to dismantle any protest. I'm glad they upheld our freedoms personally.

Cool, they removed blockades. How about enforcing noise ordinances, or public health laws with respect to people defecating in the streets?

What's that have to do with an emergency act though?

Nothing at all. It was a poor tool that was used because the people with the proper tools didn't do their job. But don't worry, even if this reaches the Supreme Court and they rule the same, politicians will shrug and invoke the notwithstanding clause and nothing will happen, except for a bunch of people who were being assholes will feel vindicated.
