it's different and bigger. like crazy procgen map bigger. idk if i'd call it better, i've found i like stories people tell about their TES playthroughs more than the actual act itself, but somebody who wanted "another dagerfall" has room to legitimately not have gotten what they wanted out of the subsequent games.

there's a unity port of it that has a lot more modern qol, it's worth a playthrough if you have time. maybe watch half of a challenge run and see if you're interested in how it is without spoiling too many quests.
