I think Kharg Island is a ruse and they're actually going to try to land in the southeast
That really is the only other place they could try I think. Perhaps they are still thinking they can get Balouchi separatists to join them in an uprising against the state, however I think that's very unlikely.
If they are targeting Sistan-Balouchistan, then it'll probably be launched from the Fujairah port of the UAE, though I could be a wrong.
We should take Iran at its word: they are monitoring US troop movements. They will not be surprised by when and where the US picks to land.
