Polar bears tend to be much more lean in the wild because their slow metabolism and food scarcity in their habitat. This one is regularly fed in a zoo and could also be winter fat and getting fed too much by the zoo. Also probably just doesn't have enough space, in the wild these guys have HUGE ranges because of said food scarcity so it also isn't burning as many calories as it would ranging for sufficiant food.
