yeah and the concerns aren't unfounded because if you were going to sniff some packets then putting some spy capabilities in a router is the equivalent of huffing jet fuel out of a tanker

theres some videos of cheap consumer grade equipment with built in backdoors floating around

They blacklisted some networking devices. And they banned Huawei 5g equipment.
