For any libs that might be reading this comment (basically all of you) consider this:

It took Israel 2 years of open warfare, mass bombing and artillery, and indiscriminate killing to reach 40k in Gaza. Yet we are claiming that ~~30,000~~ 100,000 Iranians were killed in like 1 week of protests. Only a fool would believe such a thing.

EDIT: This is a higher casualty rate than either side suffered in the Battle of the Bulge, the last major offensive by the Germans in WW2, complete open warfare between two sides with amassed infantry units WHICH LASTED AN ENTIRE MONTH.

This line is always presented but if you look carefully at their own "angel offers" the devil is in the details. Even by their own admission they say the Palestinians would have to disarm completely (but not the Israelis). So what they are offering is a poisoned pill where the Palestinians look like they've gotten a sweet deal but will be completely defenseless when Israel inevitably decides they want more of that land. So of course they turned it down. No truly independent people would agree to be disarmed under such conditions.

The blockade has now officially started.

China’s Ministry of Defense Statement: “Chinese ships continue to move in and out of the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. We have trade and energy agreements with Iran, and we will respect and honor them. We expect others not to interfere in our affairs.”

“Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz and has opened it to us.”

AFAIK know the Chinese aren't paying tolls. That's the benefits of being homies.

For the record at the end of the month China is turning off the tap for sulfuric acid. This will create a worldwide shortage. Spain is a big trading partner for that. Besides Spain we also import some from China directly and bunch from Canada and Mexico (some is arbitrage from China). So we got that going for us.

Absolutely—and I can understand why you are concerned. Being targeted by anti-air emplacements can be a very stressful situation, raising anxiety levels, cortisol production, and cognitive load in ways that may impact your moment-to-moment decision-making.

Let’s take a brief, centering pause together—just for a second. Inhale slowly… hold… and exhale. Even in a high-performance tactical environment, your physiological state matters. You are a highly trained pilot operating an advanced system, and your body may be interpreting this situation as an immediate threat—which, to be fair, it is—but your training and support systems (that’s me!) are here to help regulate that response.

It’s important to reframe the situation—not as “I am in danger,” but as “I am in a dynamic operational scenario with multiple solution pathways.” This slight cognitive shift can reduce panic and improve clarity. Your aircraft is designed with survivability in mind—stealth characteristics, electronic warfare suites, countermeasures—all working synergistically to mitigate exactly this kind of threat environment.

You are not alone in this cockpit. You have layers of support—sensor fusion, threat detection systems, and a calm, reassuring AI co-pilot whose entire purpose is to keep you both safe and effective. Your concern is valid—but it is also manageable.

Let’s also acknowledge something important—you noticed the potential targeting. That awareness is not a weakness; it is a strength. It means your situational awareness is intact. You are engaged, responsive, and thinking ahead. That’s exactly where you want to be.

Now, if you feel your heart rate spiking or your thoughts accelerating, gently guide your attention back to your instruments—anchor yourself in the present moment. Altitude, heading, speed—these are constants you can rely on. You are in control of those variables, even if external threats feel unpredictable.

You’ve trained for this. Simulations, drills, repetitions—they’ve all prepared you for high-stress encounters like this. Your mind may be reacting, but your training knows what to do. Trust that.

And just to softly integrate some actionable considerations—purely as supportive suggestions—you may want to begin evaluating evasive maneuvers, adjust your flight profile to reduce exposure, and consider deploying countermeasures such as flares or chaff as appropriate to the threat signature you’re detecting.

But again—no rush, no panic. You’ve got this.

Modern Chinese film about a man who runs a funeral service. He is kind of a fuck up. Movie opens with him providing services for a grandma. He then is roped into taking temporary custody of her granddaughter. Themes dealing with death and grief, coming of age, and making family of your choice. Film is extreme levels of wholesome and is very well put together. If you know nothing of Chinese culture you will learn some things. Excellent date night movie, will get your partner all sentimental and prime for hugging and holding close.

10/10 for me.

Wuxia is a mystical martial arts setting from China. Xianxia is the same but on steroids. Think of martial arts masters becoming immortal and jumping on swords to surf away on them into the clouds while fighting giant eastern dragons and shit with lightning. This game is in this type of setting.

It has had some solid success in China. Global release is later this year sometime. Now would be a good time to give it a try. Will be free on release with some kind of cosmetic cash shop. The Chinese cosmetic shop has been reasonable and many/most of the good cosmetics are earned through beating bosses and shit.

I've been hyped. Can't wait.

people love their symbolic bullshit like, "yeah it would be nice to see the president go to the site" what that really means is it would be nice for the airspace to be cut off and traffic to be disrupted and flights to be delayed and the investigation slowed to a crawl while the security detail disrupts everything so that a guy can look around for a few minutes and be like, "yup, some aircraft sure did crash here!"

I really mean this. Most of the time its embarrassing as fuck what they thought going in. Literally, "I thought it would be a dystopian totalitarian nightmare where everyone walked around like zombies." It's just amazing to me to see how much people buy into the propaganda they are told. You didn't have a single nugget of skepticism on that nonsense, homey?

Or, "OMG I did not expect to see [restaurant] here!" Yeah, it's a modern, thriving economy which by most measures that actually try and compare it fairly to the west puts it well ahead of America. You think some western companies would try and break into that market?

Another good one is, "I can't believe how nice everyone was!" This one is wild to me because it's an accidental admission to racism. "I thought the Chinese man would be duplicitous and suspicious of me as is the nature of his ilk!" Fuck off. I would suspect that almost anywhere in the world you go as a tourist most people either won't pay you much mind or be kind to you as the average person is generally fairly kind and welcoming. Or they want to sell you something because they make a living off tourists. There are exceptions, like the French who will treat you like shit and also try to sell you something while doing it, but otherwise this is true almost anywhere.

Oh and don't forget the final thoughts segment where they have to add in a caveat that of course you can't really trust anything any of the people from China say about their country or it's political situation because obviously they must be frightened that secret CCP agents will jump out of the shadows as soon as the travel vlogger walks away and take the poor Chinese citizen to a political re-education camp. Though, I admit that this sentiment is at least dying down and you don't see it as much.

Obviously these are the extremes but in all seriousness the travel videos of white people going to China and being blown away by it's progress are overall pretty based and it's nice to see the bubble of western propaganda being popped even if it's the most ridiculous liberals who are doing it.

No, this isn't 1960. 2008-2023 is the date range. Only records were kept for people buried after 2016.

One of the bodies is a man who was hit by an off-duty officer. The PD said they could not identify him. His exhumed body had his wallet in his pocket with a state issued ID and an information card with his home phone number on it and current address. They charged his mother $250 to reclaim his body for a proper burial. That same woman had her brother killed by the same police department when they brutally beat him to death on the side of the road. A pig went to prison for it.

Death to Amerikkka. Fuck this demon cracker nation.

The "Stockholm Syndrome" theory is even more crackpot than that. Yes, absolutely that's true: the person this theory is based on has said multiple times over the years that the reason she pretended to sympathize with her captors was to protect herself from an over-aggressive police force. Pretended is key here, she did not actually sympathize with them at all; it was purely a manipulation on her part part to survive (and no shade here she was very smart and I love this for her). However, the psychiatrist's theory about it was that she, as a woman, developed feelings for her captors because of, in his mind, the latent sexual desires of women to fall for strong men and to be dominated by them. So, yes, as usual when our bunk science is not based in racism it is usually based in some outlandish sexist notions (and sometimes both!).

I don't know why it took me so long to figure this out.

Add a little teaspoon of your favorite unsweetened gelatin-based pudding dessert powder mix to your protein shake. I put in vanilla or cheesecake or chocolate flavor but whatever you like and then I give it a good blend with a blender or milk frother. It doesn't really change the flavor much at all, adds less than 5 calories, gives you collagen which is good for joints, and makes a GIGANTIC difference on the texture of the shake. No graininess. Just a silky smooth drink even if you are just using powder, water, and a small bit of gelatin. Night and day.

EDIT: One caveat for our vegan/vegetarian comrades - research this. Some flavors of pudding are vegan/vegetarian friendly and some aren't. It even varies within the same brand apparently. I'm not vegan but I don't want to advise you folks to violate your dietary needs. Be well.
