If one takes their time to study history of Germany and the phenomenal courage the German people had shown, during the evil totalitarian dictatorship under Hitler: you can actually see how their courage is only matched, by the courage shown by the people of USA.

Nobody ever talks about the courageous Rosenstrasse protest. It's because the propaganda machine doesn't want you to know how to do a proper resistance.

(This is loaded with sarcasm)

But jokes aside I do find it interesting how women seem to be the only ones who were brave enough to actually go out and protest, in masses however small, during the worst times in Germany.

It's a shame nobody is co-opting chaos into productive outlets. Like these people we're laughing at have no clue what to do, we shouldn't expect someone to immediately be capable of independence if all they've been taught is helplessness.

Learned helplessness is often talked about, but remember every student has a teacher. Who is going to teach these people to be helpful? If you're not there to teach them how to be helpful, you're just relying on the environment. If we're too cowardly to go and try to teach these people let's at least admit that and not just mock them.

These protesters are practically begging for a teacher and nobody is there. (I'm not even opposed to going to these people myself, the problem is I'm not in America and I'm probably not the best at approaching them since I am alienated from their environment, might end up saying the wrong shit easily)

Wait catch me up, it did work in the first place didn't it?

Depends on how you define success. They managed to get them released, but given the time and circumstances most ended up re-captured.

During Weimar time there were more active protests, but Social Democrats decided to kill their own Vanguard so not that surprising the resistance lost. picard

But I am not the most educated in the topic just bits and pieces. Actually it's strange isn't it how many people know what actually happened during Weimar republic, it was supposed to be an architect of socialism, but something awfully contradictory happened. There genuinely seems to be like a gaping hole in the Western Marxism instead of learning from the mistakes and successes they've revised history by inventing cults of personalities, to explain away the gaping holes, they just say: "That guy's fault!" and move on.

Not the first time, actually.

That the sudden movements of February and March, 1848, were not the work of single individuals, but spontaneous, irresistible manifestations of national wants and necessities, more or less clearly understood, but very distinctly felt by numerous classes in every country, is a fact recognized everywhere; but when you inquire into the causes of the counter-revolutionary successes, there you are met on every hand with the ready reply that it was Mr. This or Citizen That who "betrayed" the people. Which reply may be very true or not, according to circumstances, but under no circumstances does it explain anything—not even show how it came to pass that the "people" allowed themselves to be thus betrayed. And what a poor chance stands a political party whose entire stock-in-trade consists in a knowledge of the solitary fact that Citizen So-and-so is not to be trusted.
