my first 3d model using blender, please clap. i made it by following this tutorial that was posted here by a comrade not too long ago (and with the help of another comrade that explained things further for me).

i actually had a lot of fun making it and i'm interested in learning more! does anyone know of any other good beginner tutorials that i could try?

I always love the looks of blender models, it's like, how do I explain someone who doesn't do art? ... it's not "washed out" but the light looks very warm and inviting on the 3D models. idk what I'm talking about lmao

Like, it's to describe lighting that isn't harsh, it's kind of spread more or less evenly across the surface of the subject with soft highlights, could describe the lighting effect you like

It's also the placement of the light source. If you look to where the brighter spots are. If you put a clock face over the image the light source is around 1oclock. I am going to regret using the clock face thing here, that is just about the positioning! Nothing to do wirh time! But a light source coming from that angle with diffused light and warm shading kinda implies a sunny morning. People tend to interpret the sun on the right side as morning and left side as evening

Didn't know that about the light source placement, that's really interesting!

I learned it in non digital art stuff.
