Sure, if you subtract the cravings, the heartbreak, the tells of irreparable cardiovascular and neurological damage, the yearning for the apocalypse, the cosmic horror at the sight of a hole in reality and the unfettered suicidality, when you ignore that one is the hollow shell of a human being that is, through an indescribable act of willpower, still alive at absolute rock bottom and the other is just the awkward facade of a choleric small business tyrant in all of his laughable banality, then it's the same picture.
