Why would you even ask permission from your boss for anything like this? Fuck your boss. Where's your agency, slave?
It's super bizarre to me that anyone would even think to ask for permission to perform CPR.
If you're barely scraping by and it's the only job in the area, especially if you have dependents, you might think about it.
