“The public” as a faceless mass, doesn’t really have any notions of shades of grey. Everything is either loved or hated and no in between is considered, because at the end of the day, it’s sensationalism headlines and not much else.

As for the points you’ve made, AI needs? Needed? to stay in its lane, but a lot of people and governments got grifted into dumping millions into it, and it’s mostly useless for any sort of practical applications, so now that garbage is in everything, being peddled as the one all fix all, when at its current best it’s not even a reliable text processor.

If they want to develop it, I don’t have a problem with that, but everything needs to be rolled back like 2 years back, before all this bullshit started and continue from there. Too much shit has been compromised and compromised on since then.
