They did nuclear testing in Algeria as algerians fought for their independence. All European countries did fucked up shit, but the French aren't the worst only because the competition is so fierce.

Damn... I honestly am still quite shocked that so much of American history whitewashes the horrors of colonialism (especially if it is Western colonialism). It goes to show that the scientific skin of American history and related fields is just skin, and not anything scientific on a deeper level.
