In CoMaps, is it normal to have to wait a while for a search to complete? (lemmy.ml)

Even if I have the full address of a destination, trying to search for it in CoMaps easily takes more than 30 seconds before I can select it and have it shown on the map. Sometimes if I have a general idea of where it is, I can find it faster than search. Is this normal? Are there settings I'm overlooking that could speed it up?

I find that it is only accurate (same as OSMand) if I get the exact lat long coordinates - I use online tools that convert addresses to lat long.

I'm in the US and Open Street Maps address and even place name searches are highly inaccurate

Yes, I contribute to StreetComplete and other similar projects so this isn't just whining - its just the annoying state of things
