What a fucking hilarious and laughable criticism. And I appreciate you making it. You even bringing it up outs you as an utter tool-bag.

Also, it speaks to your character? What are you a fucking boy-scout leader? You sound like the shittiest of shitlibs when you talk like that.

I'm sorry you want the world to be a drab, boring, inanimate hell-scape, if you want that, its not like you can't go make an account at the CNN comment section and take your comments there, along with your utterly inauthentic perspectives.

While I think the other user is overreacting, I do agree that i find flashy gifs as a user icon disruptive and inthinknless of the poster. Its not the equivalent of a personalised t shirt IRL.its more like the person on the bus who doesn't know how tonise earohones and inflicts their bad music choices on everyone else.

[-] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

I want more flashy gifs.

I want a rainbow streamer following my cursor.

I want explosive flashes every time I key in a response.

I want a big ORGASMIC *"UNNNNGHhhhhh.." sound to go off every time I hit reply.

I want the world to be a fuller, brighter, more vivid picture. Thats why I'm on the fediverse. Its a space for that.

If you want drab, corporate grey, its not like there aren't space that offer a muted experience. You can go have that. Its everywhere. But thats not what this space is for.

The first time in saw an animated gif user icon on the fediverse, i thought : 'huh, that's neat, that you can do that'.

The next time, it was : 'huh, people are going to make them flashy and annoying, aren't they. Why do people have to ruin everything.'

You do you, but if you enjoy it, you should be aware that notneveruone does and you are actively detracting from other peoples enjoyment, which is by definition, a selfish act, not what the fediverse is about, since you being up a comparison to corporate media.

actively detracting from other peoples enjoyment, which is by definition, a selfish act

Have you considered that you might be actively detracting from other peoples enjoyment by not having a cool flashy avatar? The knife cuts both ways.

And like I said previously, 99% of the internet is already geared to your stated preference. And your coming to the tiny 1% of part of the internet and basically asking that it also should meet your preference... Seems a bit selfish.

[-] hitmyspot@aussie.zone -1 points 1 week ago

No, 99% of the internet is sanitised. That doesnt make the 1% my or your preference. It makes it a community where were given more options but try to be respectful. Youve missed the second part.

[-] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Youve missed the second part.

Or maybe you have.

[-] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

Sanitized. Jesus Christ, you spell like a frenchman.

Z is american english. S is global.

[-] glimse@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

You should start adding subway surfers gifs to your comments to really lock in the iPad Kid/popup ad aesthetic

[-] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

It is annoying to see moving pictures while you are reading. You are inconsiderate, and [redacted.]

[-] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

Ain't no cops in this house fam. No need to redact shit. Say whatchu gon say.

[-] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 0 points 1 week ago

The authorities are never there, until they are.

Spoilier, nowadays, they are everywhere, technolocy has allowed them to surveil everything, with "ai" which is flawed and comes to incorrect conclusions.

That said, why do you annoy everyone that reads your posts with a moving picture? Seriously. Plus I know you are a dick, not a good person.

[-] mrdown@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 week ago

The annoying person is you

[-] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

you annoy everyone that reads your posts with a moving picture

Because 1) you don't speak for any one but yourself, and if you don't like it, you don't have to be here.

And 2)

Plus I know you are a dick, not a good person.

Bruh. You don't know anything. You just trying to police other peoples behavior, and you doing it here. That makes you an objectively bad person. You want a boring, sterile internet: bruh thats literally the entire rest of the internet. Go there if you don't like people who have spirit and are enthusiastic.

[-] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works -1 points 1 week ago

On the contrary, you insulted me for no good reason, when we were conversing, like really bad insults, I think you are a mean drunk in fact, can't handle you liquor. Or maybe you are just [redacted.]

[-] hitmyspot@aussie.zone 3 points 1 week ago

You were the first to get abusive. So while I also think animated user icons are annoying for the most part, you were the one being an asshole, by starting out with calling them an asshole.

If you don't like the animations, turn them off in your client. If your client doesn't allow it, find one that does.

[-] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

Are you the alt account of this abusive drunk? Good to know.

[-] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works -1 points 1 week ago

Who is talking to you? Not me. Get the fuck out of my conversation whomever you are!

[-] hitmyspot@aussie.zone 5 points 1 week ago

If you want a private conversation, then dont use a pubkic conversation thread. If you want to be rude and abusive, youll probably find most private conversations dont happen, though.

[-] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

What are you taking issue with then?

You never made a complaint, just an attack without reason. I suspect you aren't real person a this point. The internet is dead.

[-] hitmyspot@aussie.zone 2 points 1 week ago

People choosing not to engage is not because the internet is dead. Its because youre being difficult to have a decent conversation.
