It's the same for all western countries too, well, most countries in the world. And guess what old people are voting for at the polls? It isn't sacrificing anything of their own for a brighter future for the youth, that's for sure.

well, it's a bit worse for some countries. South Korea, for example, is already doomed. they've passed the point of no return and can't reverse the population collapse. I'm not a person who is educated enough to give a guess as to what that will mean for them in several decades, but I imagine it's nothing good. the country likely won't survive as it is now.

China can still avert disaster, but it's still gonna be uncomfortable for them until that aging population starts, well, not being there anymore.
