Truck drivers a month ago "wahhh, diesel is so expensive, we demand the government gives us handouts, we've been struggling for so long and we don't get paid much". I simply compare to EV's, and suddenly apparently diesel ISN'T expensive, and 30mins of your time, is super valuable and costs the company a huge amount. Most truckies return to the depot multiple times in a day (where they could charge). They're not all doing interstate trips..

I'm not sure what decade you're living in either. I used to drive a small toyota hatchback, and 20 years ago it cost more than $30 for 800km. Unless your car is a ride on mower, I doubt it lol

What I find particularly hilarious is the prolific racism amongst Truckies (particularly on facebook), especially those claiming they don't speak english well.. And yet, I've mentioned multiple times how BYD Blade batteries are full enough in 5 mins (actually 97% charge in 10), and apparently you keep missing it. Full charge is NOT important. In fact, in Aviation, you rarely fly with full tanks

Read my post again. EVs are cheap to refuel, but expensive to buy when you don’t need a new car/truck.not to mention EV trucks like we’re talking about don’t even exist. And no, 30mins of charging wouldn’t be enough for a truck. They wouldn’t use the same amount of power as a regular car, so they would need enormous batteries and would weigh 10x more than an EV car, which would destroy battery life.

it cost more than $30 for 800km

Ok? I said $60, not $30.

There is no consumer car from BYD charging in 5 minutes. Also see the above re: trucks vs cars

Aviation has nothing to do with this, why even bring that up?
