I can block instances. It takes like 2 seconds

[-] doggle@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 1 year ago

Maybe your app lets you, but there's nothing in Lemmy that let's a user so this

[-] girl@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

Which app lets you block instances?

[-] zurchpet@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 year ago

Connect for Lemmy lets you block instances.

[-] Scubus@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 year ago

I have heard a lot about the other apps, but this is the first time someone is using the same app as me! Connect is fuckin great!

[-] BossDj@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

[-] DakRalter@thelemmy.club 5 points 1 year ago

I've blocked lemmygrad on connect, but their posts still show up on this community.

[-] kariboka@bolha.forum 2 points 1 year ago

why block Lemmygrad?

[-] WarmSoda@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Yeah I don't get why people get upset. Just block it if you don't want to see it.

[-] doggle@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 year ago

That's fine for communities, but Lemmy doesn't actually let a user block an instance. Some let you hide instances, but that's still not helpful to desktop/browser users

[-] WarmSoda@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

True, good point.

[-] Double_A@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 1 year ago

Some people also use Lemmy on a PC. Also blocking instances in Apps just hides posts from there, but doesn't stop the comments.

[-] cyberpunk007@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 year ago

I thought you could only block communities?

[-] finickydesert@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Why would they defed?

[-] GFGJewbacca@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago
