That death star attack sequence alone is a master work in film editing. Pour some out for a legend.
Indeed, and you can see Lucas's ego on display when he tried to recapture the magic in phantom menace with it's space fight scene which sucked ass.
It's ego to try to make another good movie?
And he knew it didn't come out well, even before release.
Lucas needs other people to reign in his eccentricity but I've got the impression it's more that he is over enthusiastic about his bad ideas than him being paticularly egoistic (especially for being a director, of all things).
Question for grammar nerds; how should I have written that less awkwardly so that it is clear I meant "of all the things that he could have been; he is a director" and not "he directs ALL things"? Was this my moment to deploy the fabled em dash?
