I would point out, he's 83. It's possible he's just getting manipulated be people.

Scorsese sucks in plenty of other ways, don't take this as an endorsement of him.

At that age people are pretty suggestible, even if they're in good health. It's easy for elderly people to get manipulated by their kids.
