From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Which distro do you use? Most distros have their own dedicated chat rooms, and it could be on Discord, Matrix or IRC, with IRC typically being the one with most users.
Eg for Arch Linux: #archlinux on irc.libera.chat
or for Fedora: #fedora-workstation on irc.libera.chat
Or just join #linux on irc.libera.chat
thank you I did that. But I prefer services which I can keep a log of unfortunately
??? You can keep a log using IRC. Most clients support logging, check the settings in your client.
What if I turn off my computer? Please don't start your response with buying a VPS
You can install an IRC bouncer like ZNC on any device that would normally stay online, such as a spare Android phone, or even your router.
