How do I get some MP4 files on a 2013 ipad air? (sh.itjust.works)

I'm an android guy and my partner is iPhone, she isn't very tech literate and has an old iPad.

I don't want to connect the older iPad to my network but I'd like to get some MP4 videos on it of learning and Nursary rhymes for my daughter when on a car journey.

I've plugged it in but I can't seem to drag and drop. I use Linux so not sure iTunes is an option, thank you.

Are there any tricks?

Just remembered I have a windows 10 VM on my server that's not been turned on in a long time. Might just install itunes there and pass the device through. Unreal, just want 2 mp4 files on it lol
