Huh, interesting. It just seems like from a distance, while both it and the aircraft are moving fast, a visual determination of whether a propeller is there or not or not seems... difficult.

Depends on distance, angle, and lighting but they’re definitely visible from another aircraft. (Source: former c-130 flight engineer)
