Our language is indeed fake. If we notice a tourist we start to talk gibberish to prank em, normally we talk english (without accent, the accent is fake too).

I am the lead for the community team, and unfortunately the only active moderator for this community went a bit bonkers and removed a bunch of posts and changed the name and stuff. We are now trying to rebuild this community, and have appointed two new mods Stamets and JonsJava, who will together try to get this community back on track.

What's wrong with using a browser to view Lemmy? Seems like a lot of posts are about best apps for Lemmy. Am I missing out on something by not using an app? by Thekingoflorda in c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

Apps are generally more optimised for phones, and thus work a little bit better (with the exception of www.wefwef.app). But if you like the website, you don't have to use apps.
