It really does take forever. But it also has arbitrary economic death and suddenly you are going to need to build constantly it makes me cry. Also how did you do mexico? I always get angry when the US comes knocking. I've tried almost everything short of cheating to get them to go away.
Switch country + surrender
National militia and national guard means you can basically match them for troops. Beg that someone is willing to intervene if you're relying on a professional military.

Uhhh. The brave men of the 50 batallions of mexican volunteers took over the capitol and most of New England because you can't redeploy troops that are fighting and the US army was busy fighting in oklahoma
