This legitimately gets covered in security briefings. If you imply you know secret shit online, Intel agents will try to troll info out of you. It's just a newer version of the old spy strategy of going to bars near sensitive sites and listening for drunk employees bragging about their access. Then the spy just goes "yeah right you are so full of shit" and a shocking number of people will just start spilling.

Like, a person bragging about access is basically already violating security protocols and is basically 3/4 of the way to a leak.

This actually makes me wonder if some of these might be intentional. Like, if spy agencies know that warthunder has a reputation for these kinds of leaks, and know rival agencies will look at leaked documents posted to communities for it, why not pose as a fool bragging about knowing secret stuff and leak intentionally fake documents about the capabilities of your equipment, to mislead whoever might be watching?

A family friend worked for "the government" and "pushed papers" only answers I ever heard him give in 25 years of knowing him. I ran into him after he retired and I asked him if they gave him a big sendoff and he just said "My department doesnt do get togethers" and I wondered if he was hinting at something so I said "Glad to be done 'pushing papers?'" really leaning on the last 2 words And he smiled "I am, but I did push some really interesting papers in my time though"

And thats the closest I ever got to finding out what that cagey old bastard really did for "the government"
