Does watching on Piped count views and such? (lemm.ee)

So I considering switching to Piped, but I'm wondering if the views (or other metrics) are counted on Youtube itself. I don't like the idea I'm kinda "robbing" the content creators I enjoy...

I think I know the answer but would like to know for sure.

Yay for science. Is it possible that it would be on a delay? Probably not but I have no idea how this works so I rather ask.

Nah, if there is a delay it's very minor, I've uploaded videos and had views showing up within minutes
