Exactly, you then scan from 1 block before you received the coins back :)

Yeah, unless you consolidate them in order to only sync from current height, and then when they unlock later use that single output to send yourself back multiple outputs. As an example you take a single output of 1xmr and split it into 10 outputs of 0.1xmr per output.
