I miss Car Talk when I hear the guys randomly, most recently on eBay auto commercials.

Unfortunately, you're only hearing one of them.

Tom died in 2014 of Alzheimer's, 2 years after they retired from the show.

It's okay. It's an actual quote from Ray:

In a statement announcing his brother's death, brother Ray alluded to a familiar joke about the weekly puzzlers they always featured in the show.

NPR releases three episodes a week in their podcast. They're only in like 1993 right now so it'll be a while before they catch up.
